Takatu’s Kawau Bay Merlot Franc Malbec 2006

A dark inky red colour with aromas of spicy plums, cherries and blackberries with a touch of dark cocoa. These fruits carry through to the palate with fine tannins and cedary, cigar box flavours on a savoury finish. This full bodied, structured dry red wine makes an excellent companion with food.

It is ready to drink now but will continue to nicely evolve over the next couple of years

Food Match: Pairs well with vegaterian, seafood, pork and chicken, if served without acidic embellishments
