Winery: Ransom

The wine has a rich yellow-gold hue.  The nose shows ripe stonefruit (peach, nectarine) characters, and hints of toast and butterscotch.  In mouth the wine has flavours of stonefruit and grapefruit.  The palate is juicy, unctuous, weighty, full-bodied with a long, dry finish that displays ripe summer fruit, caramel and subtle oak.  A very nice crisp finish

FOOD MATCH:  Heavier and strongly flavoured dishes, poultry and fish.  Dishes with cream sauces and beurre blanc.  Try a smoked chicken, fish or bacon dish, to compliment the oaky flavours and aromas of the wine.
