Mahurangi River Estate Field of Grace 2007 CHARDONNAY

The wine has a pale white gold hue. The nose shows ripe pineapple or caramelized/baked pineapple and hints of grapefruit and roast nuts, hazelnut s. It has hints of French oak and buttery characters. The palate is juicy, unctuous, weighty, full-bodied with a long, dry finish.

This is a Chardonnay for the “big oaky and buttery Chardonnay lovers” that will cellar well for many years.

Matched well with seafood dishes such as creamy salmon lasagne and crab or lobster salad or just plain ol’ Lobstor Thermidor. Chicken thighs wrapped in proscuitto and stuffed with feta or haloumi cheese. Also try hicken poached in cream and wine or roast turkey.
