The OBV 2007 Pinot Gris is a pale light cold in colour. The aromas are of pear and a hint of floral on the end of the wiff. In the mouth, the wine feels medium-bodied and textural and tastes like more pear, toffee, and nuts with some minerality on the finish. The finish is dry and spicy (as in ginger). This wine is complex and has a lot going on.
Food Match: You could match Pinot Gris with almost anything as it is not overly acidic and bodied enough not to offend any foods. It would match with shellfish, chicken, pork and vegetarian pastas. Why not try it with roast pork and salty crackling and baked apples stuffed with nuts?
